I. Online Store Operator and Validity of Terms

The Maru + Bo online store (hereinafter: the “online store”) is operated by Maru + Bo, trgovina, d.o.o., Pražakova ulica 10, 1000 Ljubljana, company registration no.: 6315046000, VAT ID: SI16528638, email: info@maru.bo (hereinafter: the “seller”).

All business transactions between the seller and the customer are governed exclusively by these Terms and Conditions (hereinafter: the “terms”), as valid at the time the order is placed on www.maru.bo. Any different terms proposed by the customer shall apply only if agreed in writing with the seller.

These terms are prepared in accordance with applicable legislation (ZVPot-1, ZEKom-2, the Electronic Commerce Act, ZIsRPS, etc.).
Maru + Bo reserves the right to amend and supplement these Terms in accordance with changes in business conditions and its business policy. The seller undertakes to notify consumers of any changes to these Terms in an appropriate manner. All changes will be published in a timely manner on this website.
Last update of the Terms: September 2025.

II. Registration

Purchases can be made without mandatory registration. Customers may purchase as guests (guest checkout) or register in order to save preferences and order history. Registration is available to any natural person over the age of 18 (hereinafter: the “customer” or “consumer”).

III. Personal Data

Details on the processing and protection of personal data are available in the Privacy Policy (legal bases, retention periods, individual rights, processors, contact of the appointed data protection officer, if any).

IV. Cookies

The online store uses cookies. More information is available in the Cookie Policy or in cookie settings.

V. Ordering Goods and Conclusion of Contract

Goods are defined in accordance with ZVPot-1. Orders are placed in the Slovenian language at www.maru.bo. All goods are available until sold out.

Order process:

- Add to cart – the customer selects the goods (size, color, quantity, etc.).

- Enter information – billing and delivery address, phone, email, payment method.

- Order preview – the customer checks and, if necessary, corrects the information.

- Place order (order with payment obligation) – the customer confirms agreement with these terms and declares to be 18+.

Order confirmation:
After placing the order, the customer receives an order receipt confirmation (automatic email), which does not yet constitute contract conclusion. The seller verifies availability and order details.
The contract is concluded when the customer receives the “order confirmed” email. From this moment, quantities, prices, and conditions are fixed. If the goods are unavailable, the seller will notify the customer and offer a refund or another solution.

Special cases:
In case of an obvious error in price or description (e.g. due to technical issues), the seller reserves the right to cancel the order. The customer will be offered the option to purchase under corrected terms or cancel free of charge.

Sales are intended for end customers. The seller may reject orders which, in its reasonable opinion, indicate intent for resale (e.g. unusually high quantities). Customers will be informed of such rejection without delay.

Minimum order value: €20.00.

VI. Payment Methods

- Cards: MasterCard, Visa, Diners, Maestro (data transfer is encrypted).

- Cash on delivery: upon delivery, at parcel lockers or pick-up points (available only in selected countries, see below).

- Maru + Bo gift card: according to the gift card terms.

If cash-on-delivery incurs a delivery service surcharge, the amount is displayed at checkout prior to order submission. If no surcharge applies: “No additional cost is charged for cash on delivery.”

VII. Delivery

Goods are shipped to Slovenia, EU countries, and beyond.

Delivery areas and estimated times:

- Slovenia (SI): 2–4 business days; free delivery above the threshold shown at checkout.

- Croatia, Hungary, Austria, Bulgaria, Romania (HR, HU, AT, BG, RO): 3–6 business days; free delivery above local thresholds in local currency.

- Other EU countries: 4–7 business days; free delivery above the EUR threshold.

- United Kingdom and Switzerland (UK, CH): 5–10 business days.

- Rest of the world: 7–15 business days.

All shipments are trackable; tracking details are emailed upon dispatch. Shipping costs are always shown in the cart and automatically calculated by destination country.

Taxes and customs:

- EU customers (B2C): prices include VAT. The seller uses OSS and applies the VAT rate of the customer’s country.

- EU customers (B2B): purchase via this online store is not possible. For B2B orders with valid EU VAT ID, contact customer support.

- UK and CH: Slovenian VAT is not charged; the customer pays local taxes, duties, and any customs fees upon delivery.

- Rest of the world: Slovenian VAT is not charged; the customer is responsible for local taxes and customs duties.

If the customer refuses to pay import duties, the shipment may be returned; original shipping costs may not be refunded.

Currencies and price display:

- Localized stores (SI, HR, HU, AT, BG, RO): prices, shipping costs, discounts, and free shipping thresholds are displayed in local currency.

- International (EN) store: prices are shown and charged in EUR; the customer’s bank or card issuer may apply conversion fees.

Additional information:
Orders are shipped on business days. During holidays or carrier disruptions, delivery times may be extended; customers will be informed.
For multi-apartment buildings, delivery is guaranteed to the main entrance.

VIII. Undelivered Orders

As personal pickup is not available, this section applies only to delivery through carriers. If a customer does not collect a shipment and it is returned to the seller, the seller will not attempt to charge additional costs. The seller will seek an amicable solution and possible re-delivery by agreement with the customer.

IX. Prices and Product Characteristics

Prices and features apply at the time of order placement; prices include VAT. Prices in the online store may differ from those in physical stores.

X. Discounts and Promotions

The lowest price in the last 30 days is displayed in accordance with ZVPot-1. Labels such as “Online promotion” apply only to purchases in the online store.
Coupons and gift cards are used according to accompanying rules. A coupon may generally be used once, unless explicitly stated otherwise. In case of withdrawal, coupons are treated as discounts; only the amount actually paid is refunded, while the customer receives a new coupon or gift card balance is reissued. [Add validity period for gift cards].

XI. Right of Withdrawal

For contracts concluded at a distance or outside business premises, the consumer has the right to withdraw from the contract within 14 days without providing any reason.
Withdrawal may be exercised by submitting the Withdrawal Form or by an unequivocal statement clearly indicating withdrawal, sent to info@maru.bo or to the seller’s address.

The withdrawal deadline is met if the declaration is sent before the 14-day period expires. The consumer must return the goods to the seller immediately after notifying of withdrawal.

The only cost borne by the consumer is the cost of returning the goods. The seller refunds all payments within 14 days of receiving the withdrawal notice, but may withhold the refund until receiving the goods or proof of dispatch. Refunds are made using the same payment method, unless the consumer agrees otherwise and incurs no additional costs.

Withdrawal applies to all goods offered. As Maru + Bo does not sell goods subject to hygiene exceptions, statutory exclusions in this regard do not apply.

If a coupon was used, it is treated as a discount; only the paid amount is refunded, and the customer receives a new coupon. If a gift card was used, the amount is refunded to a new gift card.

XII. Warranty

If a product carries a warranty, this is indicated in its description; the consumer receives a warranty certificate. A warranty (commercial or statutory) does not affect the consumer’s legal rights regarding non-conformity of goods.

XIII. Non-Conformity of Goods (Complaints)

The seller is liable for any lack of conformity that existed at delivery and becomes apparent within two years of delivery.

In case of non-conformity, the consumer who notifies the seller is entitled, under the following conditions and order, to:

- demand free restoration of conformity of the goods;

- demand a proportionate reduction of the purchase price, or withdraw from the sales contract and request a refund.

The consumer also has the right to claim compensation, in particular reimbursement of costs of materials, spare parts, labor, transport, and shipping, arising from asserting a warranty claim under Article 81 of ZVPot-1.

The consumer may request restoration of conformity (repair or replacement) within a reasonable period, not exceeding 30 days from notification, without significant inconvenience, taking into account the nature and purpose of the goods.

To restore conformity, the consumer may choose between repair and replacement, unless:
– fulfillment of the chosen remedy is impossible; or
– it would impose disproportionate costs on the seller.

The seller may reject the consumer’s request for restoration of conformity if both repair and replacement are impossible or would cause disproportionate costs.

The consumer may demand a proportionate reduction of the price or withdraw from the sales contract in the following cases:
– the seller has not repaired or replaced the goods, or has not completed repair or replacement in accordance with the law, or has refused the consumer’s claim;
– the non-conformity persists despite attempts to remedy it;
– the nature of the non-conformity is so serious that it justifies immediate price reduction or withdrawal; or
– the seller has declared, or it is obvious from circumstances, that conformity will not be restored within a reasonable time or without significant inconvenience.

Withdrawal is exercised by a statement notifying the seller. Upon withdrawal, the consumer must return the goods at the seller’s expense. The consumer cannot withdraw if the non-conformity is minor; the burden of proof lies with the seller.

The consumer must notify the seller of the non-conformity within two months of discovery, describing it in detail. The seller must be allowed to inspect the goods. If non-conformity is disputed, the seller shall inform the consumer in writing within eight days of receiving the claim.

If the consumer withdraws due to non-conformity, the seller refunds the paid amount without delay, no later than eight days after receiving the goods or proof of shipment. In case of proportionate price reduction, the seller refunds the relevant amount within eight days of receiving the claim.

The consumer may exercise all warranty claims regarding non-conformity by using the complaint form provided.

XIV. Complaints and Dispute Resolution

The customer may send a complaint to info@maru.bo or to the seller’s address. The process is confidential. The seller will seek an amicable resolution.

In case of legal dispute, jurisdiction lies with the court at the seller’s registered office and the court in the consumer’s place of residence or temporary residence. Consumers may use the Online Dispute Resolution platform (ODR): https://ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr/.
The seller is not obliged and not prepared to participate in out-of-court dispute resolution under ZIsRPS.

XV. Archiving of Contract

The concluded contract and invoice are stored and available to the consumer on a durable medium. Copies may be requested via info@maru.bo.

XVI. Copyright

The website content (photos, videos, texts) is protected under copyright and related rights law. Only private use is permitted; any other use requires prior written consent of the seller.

XVII. Governing Law

Contracts concluded and their interpretation are governed by the law of the Republic of Slovenia.

XVIII. Changes to the Terms

The seller may unilaterally amend these terms for legal or technical reasons. Changes apply from the date of publication on the seller’s website and cover orders placed thereafter. The previous version ceases to be valid on the date of publication of the new version.
